SQ Seagold Polo Cup 2025 begins with action-packed opening day

The SQ Seagold Polo Cup 2025, organised under the auspices of the Lahore Polo Club, has begun. Four matches were played on the opening day, in which Imperial Polo, Master Paints, SEAFA Logistics International, and Team Balochistan emerged victorious.

The PPA Six-Goal Tournament started at the Lahore Polo Club, sponsored by SQ Seagold. Present on the occasion were SQ Seagold Director Shiraz Qureshi, Lahore Polo Club President Malik Azam Hayat Noon, executive committee members, polo enthusiasts, and families.

In the first match, Imperial defeated Peshawar Polo Club 10–3. For Imperial, Turab Muhammad Rizvi scored five goals, Omar Asjad Malhi scored three, while Ibrahim Sheikh and Jorge Alberto Navarro scored one goal each. For Peshawar, Subedar Shahzad scored two and Squadron Leader Hamza Iqbal scored one.

In the second match, Master Paints won a thrilling battle against HK Polo by 8.5–7. For Master Paints, Agha Musa Ali Khan and Raja Temur Nadeem scored four goals each. For HK Polo, Ibrahim Khalil scored four and Bilal Hai scored three.

In the third match, SEAFA Logistics International defeated Sula Polo 8–3.5. For the winning team, Mumtaz Abbas Niazi scored four goals, Col Omer Minhas scored two, while Muzammil and Chaudhry Fatah added one goal each. For Sula Polo, Saim Abbas scored two goals and Ali Quli Khan scored one.

In the fourth match, Team Balochistan won an exciting contest against Guard Group / Lotto Carpets by 10–5.5. For Team Balochistan, Omar Ashfaq scored four, Col Shayan Abbasi scored three, while Raja Temur Nadeem — playing in place of the injured Raja Mikhail — also scored three. For Guard Group / Lotto Carpets, Arib Ali Malik scored three, Mustafa Aziz scored one, while the team also benefited from a 1.5-goal handicap advantage.
