The Deaf International Cricket Council (DICC) has announced that the DICC Cricket World Cup 2026 will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 24 to 31, 2026.
This landmark global tournament will gather the world’s finest deaf cricketers from across continents, united by a shared passion for the game and the values of sportsmanship, inclusivity, and excellence. The event aims to highlight the extraordinary talent, determination, and spirit of players with hearing loss, reinforcing the message that cricket truly is a game for everyone.
The DICC extends its deepest gratitude to the ICC Chairman and its management for their great support and encouragement in promoting deaf cricket on the world stage. Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan’s Muhammad Zahir Uddin Babar, Chief Executive Officer of DICC, said: “The DICC Cricket World Cup 2026 is not just a tournament, it’s a celebration of ability, unity, and the universal language of sport. Hosting this prestigious event in the UAE, a nation known for its world-class cricketing infrastructure and passion for the game, marks an exciting new chapter for Deaf Cricket worldwide.”

He said the participating team of the grand event will be announced by the end of next month. “In all, six top teams drawn in three groups will be featuring in the competition,” he said. The DICC will form various committees to ensure the smooth conduct of the Cup.
