Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the approval of the hybrid model. He said that it was good news for Pakistani cricket fans and that it was a major step forward for the country’s cricketing revival.

The BCCI had refused to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup on political grounds. The PCB had offered two options in the hybrid model:

* India could play their matches at a neutral venue, while all other matches would be played in Pakistan.

* The first four matches of the group stage would be played in Pakistan, while the remaining matches, including the final, would be played in a neutral venue.

The second option was approved by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on June 15.Pakistan will host four matches in Lahore, while the remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

The PCB has been working hard to improve security arrangements for international cricket in the country, and the approval of the hybrid model is a major step forward.

Prime Minister Sharif praised the PCB for their efforts and said that he looked forward to seeing Pakistan host the Asia Cup again.

He also urged the PCB to bring more international events to Pakistan and to improve the country’s cricket infrastructure.

The Asia Cup is one of the most prestigious cricket tournaments in the world. It is a major opportunity for Pakistan to showcase its cricketing prowess and to improve its image on the world stage.
