Competitive matches mark second day of Kamran Steel Punjab Junior Tennis Championship

The Kamran Steel Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2025 continued in impressive fashion on December 24 at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, with young tennis talent from across the province putting on spirited performances.

Organised by the Punjab Lawn Tennis Association (PLTA), the second day of the championship witnessed 24 competitive matches across various age categories, highlighting the growing depth and promise of junior tennis in Punjab.

In the Boys Under-18 pre-quarterfinals, dominant displays were the order of the day. Asad Zaman defeated Ali Hassan Muntazim 6-0, while Ohad-e-Mustafa overcame Musa Riaz 6-1. Abdullah Pirzada eased past Hassan Alam 6-0, Aliyan Ali beat Haseeb Mustafa 6-2, M. Abdullah Razzaq defeated Umer Momin 6-1, Romail Shahid won against Rehaan Khan 6-2, and Ismail Ahmad sealed a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Murtaza Hassan.

The Boys Under-14 quarterfinals also produced emphatic results, with M. Muaz, Aliyan Ali, and M. Ayan all recording straight-set wins over Ibrahim Talha, Shahzain Faisal, and Haseeb Mustafa respectively.

In the Boys Under-12 quarterfinals, Daniyal Afzal Malik edged past M. Ehsan Bari 6-3, Shahzain Faisal defeated Hadi Ali Rizwan 6-1, while M. Ayan claimed a solid 6-2 win over Ibrahim Talha.

The Boys/Girls Under-10 pre-quarterfinals featured encouraging performances from emerging talent, as Daniyal Afzal Malik beat Aran Bashir 6-2, Ibrahim Faizan overcame M. Hadi Kamran 6-0, Shahreen Umer defeated M. Shahab 6-0, and Hashir Mustafa secured a 6-3 win over Wajeeha Fatima.

In the girls’ categories, Eman Shahbaz advanced in the Girls Under-12 quarterfinals with a 6-3 victory over Wajeeha Fatima, while the Girls Under-14 quarterfinals saw Aiman Rehan defeat Wajeeha Fatima 6-2 and Khadija Khalil overcome Shahreen Umer 6-1.
