Hanif Mohammad Trophy to begin from Friday in four cities

The Hanif Mohammad Trophy, a non-first-class four-day tournament, is set to kick-start from Friday, 29 August in four cities across Pakistan as 12 regional teams begin their quest for two Quaid-e-Azam Trophy spots.

The teams are divided in two groups with Group A comprising of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Karachi Whites, Lahore Blues and Quetta. Their matches will take place at Multan Cricket Stadium, Abbasia Sports Complex in Rahim Yar Khan and Dring Stadium in Bahawalpur.

Dera Murad Jamali, FATA, Karachi Blues, Larkana, Multan and Rawalpindi make up Group B and their matches will take place across National Bank Stadium, SBP Sports Complex and UBL Sports Complex in Karachi.

A total of five rounds, with each one comprising of six matches, will run from 29 August to 25 September with two days of rest between each. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26, which is expected to begin in October.
