Pakistan Storms Into Blind T20 World Cup 2024 Semi-Finals With Dominant Win Over Nepal

LAHORE: The Pakistan blind cricket team secured a place in the semi-finals of the Blind T20 World Cup 2024 after a resounding 10-wicket victory against Nepal at the Ghani Institute Cricket Ground on Wednesday.

Chasing a modest target of 101 runs, Pakistan’s openers achieved the total in just 6.4 overs without losing a wicket. This marks their fourth consecutive win in the tournament, including a walkover against India earlier this week.

Nematullah shone with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 73 off 30 balls, while Mohammad Safdar added a steady 24 not out from 14 deliveries.

Nepal, batting first, struggled to build partnerships and managed only 100/5 in their 18 overs. Bharat Thapa was their top scorer with a 46-ball 39, while opener Naresh Chaudhary contributed 17 off 17 balls.

Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Haroon Khan, who delivered exceptional figures of 2/5. Muhammad Salman, Matiullah, and Nematullah each took one wicket, restricting Nepal’s batting lineup effectively. Nematullah was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
