LAHORE – At the 3rd Fatima Jinnah Punjab Ladies Amateur Golf Championship, Parkhaijaz of Defence Raya stood out as the top performer.
The championship, held at the Royal Palm Golf Course, drew elite female players from a number of locations, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. With three rounds of 73, 71, and 75, Parkha—a player recognised by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)—displayed her skill and won the title with an overall score of 219, just three over par. With scores of 75, 75, and 85 for a total of 235, Bushra Fatima, a gifted player in the Ace Junior Golf League from Lahore Garrison, came in second place in the gross category. With a total score of 242, Aania Farooq from Karachi secured the third gross position.
Ana James Gill of Royal Palm won the top spot in the nett category with a three-round nett aggregate score of 216. With a nett aggregate score of 221, Zaib un Nisa of Royal Palm earned the third nett position, and Islamabad’s Ami Qin took second place with a score of 218. Parkha Ejaz made the longest drive, while Uzma Khurshid was the closest to the pin. Brig Ayaz Mahmood, the Honorary Secretary of the Punjab Golf Association, and Gourmet Foods’ Ali Mehdi attended the prise distribution ceremony. The occasion, which successfully concluded the tour, brought together Punjab Golf Executive Committee Members, Col. Jameel Khalid of Royal Palm, Tour Director Minna Zainab, and participating women and families.
