“Visited Wagah Border few days ago,” he wrote. “Armed forces & Uniform is something that has fascinated me since i was a child. I wanted to be a fighter pilot when i was a little child growing up in Morgah. I am glad i was able to wear Pakistan colors and represent the nation at international level. The sacrifices made by them can never be forgotten.”

Akhtar, who retired from international cricket in 2012, is now a successful commentator and analyst. He is also a popular figure on social media, with over 10 million followers on Twitter.
