In a thrilling encounter at the Junior Asia Cup held in Salalah, Oman, Pakistan and India battled it out on the field, resulting in an electrifying 1-1 draw.

From the very start of the match, both teams displayed remarkable skills and gameplay. Pakistan took the lead with their solitary goal in the 44th minute, courtesy of Basharat Ali. India, on the other hand, managed to equalize the score in the 24th minute, thanks to Sharda Nand’s superb goal.

The standout performer of the match was none other than Abdul Hannan Shahid, who was awarded the Player of the Match title.

Assisting the team are Manager and Chief Coach Olympian Hanif Khan, Assistant Coach Asif Ahmed Khan, Olympian Zeeshan Ashraf, Team Consultant Rehman Altman, Video Analyst Syed Ali Abbas, and Physiotherapist Waqas Mahmood.

The Junior Asia Hockey Cup has divided the participating teams into two pools. Pool A features Pakistan, India, Japan, Thailand, and Chinese Taipei, while Pool B comprises Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan. Pakistan’s next match is scheduled against Japan on May 29th, where they will be looking to secure their fourth victory in the tournament.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman witnessed this thrilling match and showed his full confidence to the Pakistan team. In a video message he congratulated the team management that it has trained the team so well that Pakistan equalize the match with India.

He urged the government to support these kids so that they are trained well because this team is capable to win world and Olympic medals.
