Two titles for Muzamil, one for Ushna at HTR National Tennis Championship

Muzamil Murtaza completed a magnificent double crown, while Ushna Suhail clinched the women’s singles title in dominant fashion at the 9th Hassan Tariq Rahim National Ranking Tennis Championship 2025 at the Lahore Gymkhana on Sunday.

In the men’s singles final, Muzamil delivered a commanding performance to outclass veteran star Aqeel Khan 6-2, 6-1. Earlier, he, pairing with Muhammad Shoaib, defeated the duo of Aqeel Khan and Shehzad Khan 6-1, 7-6(7) in a thrilling men’s doubles final.

The women’s singles final witnessed Ushna Suhail exhibiting complete control and precision as she overpowered Mehaq Khokhar 6-1, 6-0 to lift the trophy. Earlier, in the seniors’ category final, the pair of Rashid Malik and Arif Feroz registered a comfortable 6-0, 6-3 victory over Saleem Khan and Dr Mushtaq.

The concluding ceremony was graced by Chairman Lahore Gymkhana Salman Siddique, along with notable personalities Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, Shaukat Javed, and Parvez Bhandara, as well as tennis players and their families. The distinguished guests later distributed prizes among the winners.
