TTS Report :

The 1st All Pakistan T20 Cricket League 2025, a momentous event dedicated to the cherished memory of Col Fateh Sher Khan, is set to unfold at the Street Arena Club Cricket Ground, Alamganj, Swat, with the inaugural match scheduled for August 14.

This league will witness the participation of eighteen formidable teams, representing diverse cities across Pakistan. These teams will be strategically divided into three groups, each comprising players of both national and international acclaim. Each team will be engaged in five league matches within its respective group, ensuring a competitive and engaging tournament. Each team will consist of 15 players and 2 officials.

The organizing committee is committed to providing all participating teams with official color kits and white balls throughout the tournament, ensuring a professional and uniform playing environment. The top two teams from each group will compete against each other on an aggregate basis, and the winners will subsequently compete on an aggregate basis to determine the two teams that will qualify for the final.

The final, along with the awards ceremony, will be held on the same day, culminating in a celebration of cricketing excellence. The champion and runner-up teams will be honored with trophies and cash prizes while individual accolades, including shields and cash prizes, will be awarded to the tournament’s best performers. Man of the match awards will be presented after each league match.

This league follows the successful “SWAT U-19 Cricket League” tournament, which was held in memory of Col Fateh Sher Khan this year from May 22, 2025, to June 2. Nabeel Ahmed, the chief organizer and sponsor, and the former CEO and first vice president of USA Cricket Association, is the driving force behind these tournaments, organised to pay tribute to Nabeel Ahmed’s late father, Col Fateh Sher Khan, in order to continue his father’s legacy of service and love for the game.

Nabeel Ahmed has sponsored numerous tournaments in Punjab, and he has been impressed with the Swat U-19 League Tournament, which has led to his support for All-Pakistan T20 Cricket League 2025. This tournament will be an annual event and will be organized every year in the legacy of Col Fateh Sher Khan. Plans include the organization of U-15 and U-17 tournaments.

The Street Arena Club Cricket Ground in Swat Alamganj has been chosen for its picturesque location and pleasant weather, providing an ideal setting for cricket throughout the year, unlike many other cities in Pakistan. The influx of players from across Pakistan will encourage the people of Swat to embrace cricket.

The members of organising committee said: “Due to the success of U-19 tournament on this ground, PCB has also given five three-day Senior District matches, which has been organized successfully and we provided them with all the facilities needed, now PCB high-ups are in contact with us to organize summer camps and the upcoming National Regional U-19 tournament that will be scheduled here which is an honor for us.”

They added: “We aim to encourage the KP government to develop more cricket grounds and provide more facilities to Swat players. This will encourage players from Malakand and Swat divisions to feature in national and international levels despite limited resources. We are grateful to Nabeel Ahmed for sponsoring this event and hope he will continue to support more events in the future. On behalf of the organizing committee and people of Swat, we offer our prayers for Col Fateh Sher Khan, wishing him the highest ranks in Jannah.”
