PCB’s Cricket Technical Committee to be led by Misbah

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named former Test cricketer Misbah-ul-Haq as the leader of the esteemed Cricket Technical Committee. Alongside him are former Test cricketers Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez. This committee is entrusted with offering suggestions on various cricket-related matters, such as the domestic structure, schedule, playing conditions, selection committee appointments, national team coaches, contracts, and plans for umpire, referee, and curator development.

Additionally, they have the authority to invite other cricket experts and will regularly report to the PCB Management Committee Chairperson, Zaka Ashraf. Ashraf expressed his delight in welcoming Misbah, Inzamam, and Hafeez on board, emphasizing the importance of a strong domestic cricket structure in nurturing the country’s cricketing talent. Misbah, in turn, expressed his gratitude for being chosen as the head of the committee and is optimistic about making a positive impact with the committee’s collective expertise. The committee also includes Acting Director – Domestic Cricket Operations, Junaid Zia, as an ex-officio member, and Usman Tasleem as the ex-officio and secretary.
