Tottenham Hotspur Women have strengthened their defense by signing French international Alice Sombath from OL Lyonnes on a permanent deal, subject to international clearance and a work permit.
The 22-year-old defender joins Spurs after a successful spell with Lyon, where she won multiple domestic titles and gained valuable UEFA Women’s Champions League experience. Sombath also represented France at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, starting every group-stage match.
Speaking after completing the move, Sombath said she is excited to compete in the Women’s Super League and is determined to contribute to Tottenham’s continued progress.
Head coach Martin Ho praised the signing, describing Sombath as a talented young defender who fits the club’s long-term vision and has the potential to develop into a top player.
