The Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) has partnered with ACTIVIT Welfare Foundation to launch joint initiatives aimed at promoting arts, culture, sports, fitness, and overall wellness among the youth of Lahore.
The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Alhamra Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal and Rizwan Aftab Ahmed, CEO of ACTIVIT Welfare Foundation and Director at National Hospital DHA Lahore. The agreement marks the beginning of a coordinated effort to promote a balanced lifestyle where creative expression and physical activity go hand in hand.
Under this partnership, both organisations will introduce programmes focused on sports science, clinical nutrition, and the integration of arts and cultural engagement as part of holistic youth development. The initiative aims to provide young people with opportunities to adopt healthier routines while nurturing both their physical performance and creative potential.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Nawaz Gondal highlighted the importance of combining cultural enrichment with physical development, noting that integrating sports with the arts can help foster a more energetic, disciplined, and well-rounded generation.
Rizwan Aftab Ahmed emphasised that the foundation’s expertise in health, fitness, and sports will play a key role in delivering practical training, wellness education, and nutrition awareness, particularly for young athletes and emerging talent within creative communities.
The collaboration reflects a growing recognition of the role of arts, culture, and sports as powerful tools for social development. By blending these elements, the initiative aims to cultivate a more active, creative, and health-conscious youth population while promoting a culture of fitness, discipline, and well-being across Lahore.
