K2 Squash Club is set to mark a major milestone in professional squash by hosting its second PSA Challenger tournament, and its first-ever women’s event, this April.
The K2 Squash Women’s PSA Challenger Championship, presented by One World Squash, will take place in Philadelphia and conclude on April 26, 2026. The tournament represents a significant step forward for women’s professional squash in the United States.
Featuring a $6,000 prize purse and a 24-player main draw, the championship will bring together an international lineup of top-tier athletes competing for valuable PSA World Tour ranking points. The event highlights K2 Squash’s growing role as a hub for elite-level competition.
Tournament Director Muhammad Naveed Alam expressed pride in launching this landmark women’s tournament, emphasizing its importance in elevating the sport locally and internationally. “We are proud to contribute to the growth of squash in the United States by hosting professional events at K2 Squash,” he said. “This championship is a key step in strengthening our presence on the PSA World Tour and supporting the development of women’s squash.”
The competition will feature a strong field led by top seed Zeina Zein (World Ranking No. 99), alongside a diverse group of international contenders, including Laura Silva, Lucie Stefanoni, and Malak Taha. Rounding out the top eight seeds are Hwayeong Eum, Mary Fung-A-Fat, Juliette Permentier, and rising American junior talent Lily Bourell. All matches will be played on a professional glass court, offering a world-class competitive setting for players and an immersive viewing experience for fans.
