Iram Javed’s half-century and a three-wicket haul from Amber Kainat helped Invincibles beat Strikers by four wickets in the second match of the National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025-26 at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground in Lahore on Saturday afternoon.
Chasing 183 to win, Invincibles lost their captain Muneeba Ali (2, 6b) in the second over with 12 runs on the board. At that stage of the run chase, Gull Feroza was joined by Maham Anees and both batters scored at a rate of 10 runs per over before right-handed batter Gull (30, 15b, 5x4s, 1×6) was dismissed by Fatima Khan in the sixth over.
At a crucial juncture of the chase, Maham was joined by experienced Iram Javed and the pair stitched a match-winning 81-run partnership for the third wicket. Maham fell to Saira Jabeen for 40 off 31 balls, hitting eight boundaries.
Iram continued to score at a brisk pace and was dismissed in the 19th over after scoring 72 off 45 balls, which included 10 fours and two sixes, striking at 160. Syeda Aroob Shah (9 not out, 9b) and Amber Kainat (4 not out, 4b) guided their team to the target on the last ball of the match.
For Strikers, Saira grabbed three wickets, while Fatima Khan took two wickets.
Earlier, after opting to bat first, Strikers posted 182 for seven in their 20 overs. Opening batter Sadaf Shamas top-scored with 56 off 35 balls, striking 12 fours. Aliya Riaz, batting at number five contributed a quick-fire 37 off 28 balls, which included six fours. Captain Nashra Sandhu also chipped in with an unbeaten 25 off 18 balls, hitting four boundaries.
For Invincibles, Amber took three wickets, while Saima Malik managed to pick two wickets.
The third fixture of the tournament will be played between Conquerors and Strikers at the same venue on Sunday, 29 March. The first ball will be bowled at 10am.
