The Diamond Paints Polo Cup 2026, organised under the auspices of Jinnah Polo Fields, commenced with two exciting matches that provided thrilling entertainment for polo enthusiasts.
In the opening match, Team Balochistan delivered an impressive performance to defeat Diamond Paints 8-5 after a fiercely contested encounter. Raja Samiullah led Balochistan’s charge with a brilliant four-goal contribution, while Col Shahyan Abbasi added two goals. Ahmed Ali Tiwana and Ahmed Bilal Riaz chipped in with one goal each to secure a well-deserved victory. For Diamond Paints, Lao Abelenda and Raja Jalal Arsalan scored two goals each, while Muhammad Ali Malik added one goal, but their efforts were not enough to overcome Balochistan’s determined display.
The second match of the day between BN Polo and Master Paints turned out to be an evenly balanced contest. After four chukkers, both teams were locked at 6-6. The remaining four chukkers of the match will be played on Friday to determine the final result. Saqib Khan Khakwani was the standout performer for BN Polo, scoring five goals, while Babar Naseem contributed one. For Master Paints, Amirreza Behboudi showcased exceptional skills by netting five goals, with Mumtaz Abbas Niazi adding one goal.
