To promote cricket throughout all of Europe, the Ghani Institute of Cricket Pakistan and the Catalan Cricket Federation inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The Catalan Cricket Federation’s chairman, Chaudhry Amanat Hussain Mehr, cricketer Salman Butt, captain of the Catalunya Blue Cricket Club Suleman Gondal, and club management were present at the ceremony, which took place in DHA.
Following the MoU ceremony, cricket player Salman Butt told the media that this agreement will help players throughout Europe as well as cricket fans in Spain. Participants in the agreement will have the chance to play and learn from coaches in each other’s nations—Pakistan and Spain.
After football, cricket is quickly rising to prominence in Spain, according to Chaudhry Amanat Maher, chairman of the Catalan Cricket Federation. With the Catalan Cricket Federation, there are currently over 1200 registered players. The federation is committed to giving Spanish players the chance to play in leagues such as the PSL, Maher stated.
Players from Spain will soon travel to Pakistan to participate in matches as per the agreement.
