LAHORE : On Wednesday at the E-9 Cricket Ground, the cricket team of Kashmir Blinds defeated Islamabad by a margin of five wickets in the T20 Cricket Championships Trophy final.
After winning the toss, Islamabad elected to bat first and scored 259 runs in all. For Islamabad, Akmal scored 88 runs, and Shahzaib quickly added 74 runs off of 32 balls.
In response, Kashmir achieved the target in just two balls at a loss of five wickets, led by captain Nisar, who amassed 172 off 73 balls. By a margin of five wickets, Kashmir prevailed in the match. Fakhar Abbas, Shahzaib, and Matiullah shared a wicket apiece against Islamabad.
The winner of man of the match was NISAR Ali. Abbottabad’s Riasat Khan won best player in the B1 category, Kamran Akhtar won best player in the B2 category, Mohammad Rashid won best player in the B3 category, and NISAR Ali took home the trophy for best wicket-keeper of the competition.
An Islamabad Blinds Cricket Association (IBCA) official stated that local media coverage of this event was prohibited.
