Marcelo Brozovic Poised for Al-Nassr Switch from Inter Milan

Inter Milan’s midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is edging closer to a transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, as reported by reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Al-Nassr has expressed strong interest in the Croatian midfielder and had already come to an agreement with Inter regarding the transfer fees. However, Brozovic initially hesitated on making the move.

Recent reports suggest that Brozovic was holding out for a substantial increase in his salary package – a demand that Al-Nassr has now agreed to, paving the way for the deal to be finalized.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Nassr will pay €23 million in transfer fees, and Brozovic will sign a lucrative three-year contract worth €100 million, encompassing wages and a signing fee.

Initially, Barcelona was believed to be leading the race to sign Brozovic, but their financial constraints hindered their pursuit of the experienced midfielder for the Spotify Camp Nou.

Since joining Inter’s first team in the summer of 2016, the Croatian international has been a crucial player, making 330 appearances and contributing 31 goals and 43 assists in the Nerazzurri shirt.

Brozovic played an essential role in the team’s success last season, helping Simeone Inzaghi’s side retain the Coppa Italia title and reach the Champions League final.

After seven years of dedicated service to Inter, Brozovic is now set to embark on a new chapter in his career at Al-Nassr, where he will join forces with superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

With Brozovic’s departure, Inter is witnessing another high-profile player leaving this summer, as the cash-strapped Italian giants seek funds to pursue their targets.

The proceeds from Brozovic’s transfer are expected to be utilized by Inter to pursue their primary midfield target, Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo.

Frattesi is one of the most sought-after players in Serie A during this transfer window, and Inter faces competition from AC Milan and Juventus for his signature, making a swift action necessary to secure his services.
