Diamond Paints/Master Paints defeated BN Polo with a score of 8-4 on the third day of the 5th President of Pakistan Polo Cup 2026 for the National Open Polo Championship – Finale, sponsored by Sarsabz and co-sponsored by Kingdom Valley, at Jinnah Polo Fields.
Amirreza Behbudi was the star performer for the winning side, hammering in five goals, while Raja Temur Nadeem and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed added two and one goal respectively. For BN Polo, Lao Abelenda scored twice, with Ibrahim Khalil and Tito Ruiz Guinazu scoring one goal each.
A large number of spectators and families gathered to witness the match. Prominent figures in attendance included Mian Abbas Mukhtar (Director, Fatima Group), officials from Kingdom Valley, Club Secretary Maj (R) Adil Sultan, and numerous members of the polo community.
The match started with a high tempo. Diamond Paints established an early lead through Amirreza Behbudi’s clinical finishing, while BN Polo struggled to find their rhythm against a tight defence, as the first chukker ended with Diamond Paints enjoying a 2-1 lead. The second chukker was dominated by Diamond Paints, as Behbudi continued his scoring streak, supported by Temur Nadeem. BN Polo managed to pull one back through Abelenda, but the gap began to widen as Diamond Paints stretched their lead 4-2.
A tactical battle ensued in the third chukker. Mir Huzaifa Ahmed showcased excellent teamwork to find the goal for Diamond Paints. BN Polo’s Tito Ruiz responded with a brilliant field goal to keep his team in the hunt 6-3. In the final chukker, Diamond Paints focused on game management. Behbudi sealed his ‘fiver’ with a final strike. Despite a late surge and a goal from Ibrahim Khalil for BN Polo, the victory for Diamond Paints/Master Paints was never in doubt.
