Abubakar, Ahtesham, Bismal, Fajar march into finals of Aitchison College Junior National Tennis

Abubakar Talha, Ahtesham Humayun, Bismal Zia and Fajar Fayyaz marched into finals of Aitchison College Junior National Tennis Championship 2025 at the Aitchison College, Mall Road, Lahore.

In the Boys Under-18 semifinals, top seed Abubakar Talha delivered a commanding performance, defeating Amir Mazari 6–3, 6–0 to secure his place in the final. In the other semifinal, Ahtesham Humayun advanced after overcoming Asad Zaman 6–3, 1–0 (retired).

In the Boys Under-18 Doubles semifinals, the pair of Abubakar Talha and Amir Mazari showcased superb coordination to defeat Hamza Ahmad and Abdullah Yousaf 6–1, 6–2. Joining them in the final will be Ahtesham Humayun and Zohaib Afzal Malik (SA Group), who cruised past Asad Zaman and Ruhab Faisal 6–2, 6–2.

In the Girls Under-18 semifinals, Bismal Zia, Ali Embroidery Mills, produced a remarkable comeback, rallying from a set down to edge past Hajra Sohail 3–6, 6–4, 6–4 in a thrilling three-set encounter. The second semifinal saw Fajar Fayyaz display great composure under pressure, defeating Labika Durab 6–3, 7–6 in straight sets.

The Boys Under-14 semifinals were dominated by young prodigies M Shayan Afridi and M Muaz, who advanced in convincing style. Shayan overpowered M Ayan 4–0, 4–0, while Muaz, Fatima Group, prevailed over Ohad-e-Mustafa 5–3, 4–1. In the Girls Under-12 category, Aiman Rehan blanked Eman Shahbaz 4–0, 4–0, while Khadija Khalil outplayed Shahnoor Umer 4–1, 4–2 to seal her spot in the final.

The Boys Under-12 semifinals also witnessed impressive performances from M Muaz and M Shayan Afridi. Muaz dominated M. Ibraheem Hussain Gill 4–0, 4–0, whereas Shayan once again displayed consistency, beating M Ayan 4–0, 4–1. All finals of the Aitchison College Junior National Tennis Championship 2025 will be played today (Friday).
