LAHORE (Special Correspondent): Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab organized E-Rozgar Youth Tech Meet up at Nishtar Park Sports Complex E-Library on Thursday. Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister on Youth Affairs and Sports Wahab Riaz, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman and Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail were the guests of honour on this occasion.

Director General Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) E-Governance Sajid Latif, Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan, Assistant Director Youth Affairs Nazish Noor and Assistant Director Sajid were also present on this occasion.

Adviser to CM Punjab on Youth Affairs and Sports Wahab Riaz, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman, DG Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, DG PITB E-Governance Sajid Latif, Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hassan, Assistant Director Youth Affairs Nazish Noor and Assistant Director Sajid were presented souvenirs in the ceremony.

Addressing the E-Rozgar Youth Tech Meet up, Adviser to CM Punjab on Youth Affairs and Sports Wahab Riaz said that the youth of the province are being provided proper awareness about the E-Rozgar sources of income. “Information technology and E-Commerce have turned out to be the need of the hour in the modern era,” he added. Adviser to CM Punjab on Youth Affairs and Sports Wahab Riaz further said that as many as 45 E-Rozgar centres are working across the Punjab province under the auspices of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab.

“It is a wonderful platform and our talented young boys and girls must utilize this system to earn a reasonable and respectable livelihood for their families”. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman in his address said that the potential youth are being informed about the modern ways of earning through the E-Rozgar program.

“Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab is taking effective measures to expand the E-Rozgar program throughout the province. The E-Rozgar Program is the best platform to guide youth of the province in the right direction,” he added.

Addressing the ceremony, Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that E-Rozgar is a useful program working under the aegis of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab. “Top IT experts are imparting valuable training to thousands of emerging youth of the province”.

Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that the E-Rozgar Program is the best use of technology. “We are working to expand the E-Rozgar Program so that the maximum number of youth could benefit from this great facility,” he added. Director General Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail said that Youth Affairs Department Punjab is polishing leadership skills among young boys and girls of the province. DG PITB E-Governance Sajid Latif on this occasion said that as many as 65 E-Rozgar centres are functioning across the country.

“Over 51,000 graduates have so far been trained under the E-Rozgar Programme”. He further said that our talented youngsters are earning 12 dollars per hour from the E-Rozgar program. “The trained youth in the E-Rozgar program should impart this training to other youngsters of the province”. Punjab University’s focal person Dr Shahid, Asma Rao, Umer Rana and Shazia Shabbir also addressed the seminar and highlighted the benefits of the E-Rozgar program.

A panel discussion on the topic of E-Rozgar Free-Lancing Journey was held on this occasion. Miss Muzammil, Anam Babar, Anam Hamza and Umer Farooq shared their E-Rozgar success stories during the panel discussion.

A large number of male and female students from different colleges and universities participated in the grand programme. Later, all the participants were given certificates.
