Prof. Zakria Zakar hailed the adoption of digital technologies for education

Despite all the odds and challenges occurred in 2020, our nation once again proved their resilience and strength by showing responsible public health behavior to fight the COVID-19 and switching to digitized mode of living to a great extent, said the Vice Chancellor University of Okara Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar in his special message at the eve of New Year.

Dr Zakar told that despite the low literacy and limited healthcare services, the Pakistani society manifested the best preventive practice against the pandemic. He also hailed the adoption of digital technologies for education.
Highlighting the e-learning practices at UO, the VC explained that during the last, the culture of online education had strengthened greatly and he appreciated the support and contribute of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other governing bodies in this regard.
“The University of Okara has now become a digital university with all the services such as admissions, fee submission, lectures and examinations available to the students at just one click”, said the VC.

“More than 5000 students got enrolled at the UO in Fall 2020 and this shows the society’s trust at our institution.
Dr Zakar vowed to work for achieving the highest standards of academic excellence during the calendar year.
