TTS Report :
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday unveiled the schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL), marking a historic expansion of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament. The 44-match competition will run from March 26 to May 3, 2026, featuring eight teams for the first time and matches spread across six venues.
The tournament will be staged in Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting PSL matches for the first time, reflecting the PCB’s efforts to expand the league’s footprint across the country.
Having successfully completed 10 years, the league enters a new era in its 11th season with the addition of two new franchises. The eight participating teams are Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Rawalpindi Pindiz.
The newly introduced Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz joined the league following the PSL auction, acquired for PKR 175 crore and PKR 245 crore, respectively.
Under the tournament format, each team will play 10 league matches, with the top four teams progressing to the playoffs, which will consist of Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final. The knockout stage will be played from April 28 to May 3, with the grand finale scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium. A reserve day on May 4 has also been allocated for the final if required.
A total of 12 double-headers will be staged during the 39-day tournament, including three at Gaddafi Stadium, which will host 15 matches overall, including the opening match on March 26 between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen. The Lahore venue has historically been central to the league, hosting several PSL finals, including those in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, formerly known as Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium, will stage its first-ever PSL match on March 28, when Peshawar Zalmi take on Rawalpindi Pindiz.
Similarly, Iqbal Stadium will host seven matches, with the first fixture scheduled for April 9 between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.
Other host venues include Multan Cricket Stadium, where Multan Sultans will play four home matches, National Bank Stadium, which will host six matches, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where 11 matches including a qualifier will be played.
