Jahangir Khan ends association with One World Squash Foundation, K2 Squash

TTS Report :

Legendary former world squash champion Jahangir Khan has formally announced his complete disassociation from the One World Squash Foundation and K2 Squash Club in Philadelphia, just months after inaugurating the initiative aimed at promoting the sport in the United States and beyond.

In a clear and categorical public statement, Jahangir Khan clarified that while his name had been linked to the foundation, particularly in connection with the role of president, he never formally accepted any position nor entered into a legal agreement with the organization.

“I would like to make an official announcement to the public and the global squash community that my name was proposed and used for One World Squash Foundation, Philadelphia, in relation to the position of President,” Jahangir stated. “However, I can confirm that I never signed any documents, entered into any legal agreement, or formally accepted any role with the founder or the organization.”

He added that, effective immediately and going forward, he holds no affiliation, involvement, or association with either the One World Squash Foundation or K2 Squash Club in any capacity.

The foundation was inaugurated in October 2025 at K2 Squash in Philadelphia, a project led by Jahangir Khan’s cousin Karamatullah, with the stated objective of developing squash talent and expanding the sport’s professional footprint in the US. At the time, plans were also announced for hosting a PSA Challenger event, including a proposed $15,000 men’s and $6,000 women’s professional tournament in March 2026.

During the launch, Jahangir had praised the academy’s role in player development and commended Karamatullah’s efforts in creating opportunities for aspiring professionals. However, Jahangir has now chosen to step away, without publicly disclosing the reasons behind his decision.

Sources familiar with the matter suggest that the separation stemmed from financial disagreements, with commitments allegedly not being fulfilled as initially agreed, leading to differences between the two parties. These claims, however, have not been officially commented on by the foundation.

Jahangir Khan’s decision brings a sudden and significant shift to a project that had drawn attention due to his global stature and influence in the sport. Widely regarded as one of squash’s greatest-ever players, Jahangir’s name carries immense credibility, making his withdrawal a notable development within the international squash community.
