Jahanara Nabi improved her own national record but failed to qualify for the next round of Women’s 100m Freestyle in Commonwealth Games 2022 here on Monday. Jahanara clocked 1:01.51 to complete her heat in Women’s 100m Freestyle. Her previous national record time was 1:02.05. The female swimmer failed to advance to the next stage as she finished 40th out of 55 swimmers. On the other hand, Bismah Khan clocked 1:02.59 to finish 47th in the same event. Another Pakistani swimmer Mishael Ayub also failed to make it to the next round of the Women’s 100m Breaststroke event. She completed her heat in 1:22.12 to finish 26th out of 28 swimmers. So far, all Pakistani swimmers failed to qualify for the next rounds. On August 2, Haseeb Tariq will participate in Men’s 50m Freestyle event whereas Jahanara will compete in Women’s 400m Freestyle.
