TTS Report :
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to Pakistan’s sports, healthcare, and humanitarian sectors, the Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, hosted an exclusive meeting with prominent registered dietitian and healthcare entrepreneur Rizwan Aftab Ahmed at the Governor House.
During the meeting, the Governor praised Ahmed’s tireless efforts in uplifting national athletes and advancing medical nutrition in the country. He honored him with two Certificates of Achievement — one for his role as Director of National Hospital & Medical Centre (DHA, Lahore) and the other as CEO of ACTIVIT, a medical-grade nutritional supplement brand.
Rizwan Aftab Ahmed is widely recognized for establishing “ACTIVERSE,” a unique support ecosystem that provides comprehensive medical, nutritional, and financial assistance to Pakistan’s elite athletes. His work has been pivotal in athlete rehabilitation, injury recovery, and performance optimization, earning him the reputation of being an “unofficial safety net” for Pakistan’s sporting talent.
Through ACTIVERSE, he has mentored and supported several of the country’s top sports figures, including Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, Commonwealth weightlifting champion Nooh Dastagir Butt, tennis legend Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, undefeated boxing champion Usman Wazeer, and Guinness World Record holder and alpinist Shehroze Kashif.
In cricket, his guidance and support have extended to some of Pakistan’s most prominent names, including legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, national team players Salman Ali Agha and Shan Masood, and emerging stars Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz, among many others.
A clinical dietitian by profession, Ahmed specializes in weight management, disease prevention such as diabetes and heart disease, and nutraceuticals for longevity. Under his leadership, ACTIVIT has grown into a leading medical-grade nutrition brand, while National Hospital DHA Lahore continues to strengthen its role in modern clinical care and community health services.
Beyond sports and healthcare, Ahmed is deeply involved in humanitarian work. Through the ACTIVIT Welfare Foundation, he has led multiple relief initiatives, including providing food, nutrition, and medical aid to children in Gaza and other underserved populations.
The Governor also acknowledged Ahmed’s strong academic and family legacy. He completed his schooling at Aitchison College, Lahore, holds a degree from Queen’s University, Canada, and has earned postgraduate certifications from Cornell University and Harvard Medical School. He is the son of Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed, a pioneer of orthopedic surgery in Pakistan, grandson of Olympian swimmer Iftikhar Ahmed Shah, related to legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, and traces his ancestry to Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan, a close associate of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that Rizwan Aftab Ahmed represents the true spirit of service and excellence, adding that such individuals project a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage.
In his response, Rizwan Aftab Ahmed thanked the Governor for the honor and reaffirmed his commitment to the nation.
“I am deeply humbled by this recognition. I vow to do even more for our athletes, our healthcare system, and humanity at large, so that Pakistan shines on the world stage,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and a shared resolve to further promote initiatives that strengthen sports performance, public health, and humanitarian support across Pakistan.
