FG Polo secured an emphatic berth in the main final of the Allied Bank 97th Punjab Polo Cup 2026 after defeating BN Polo by 9–5½ on the fourth day of the prestigious tournament at the Lahore Polo Club.
The 97th edition of the Punjab Polo Cup, sponsored by Allied Bank Limited, is currently underway at the historic Lahore Polo Club, drawing significant participation from leading teams and a large turnout of members and families. Among those present on the occasion were Lahore Polo Club President Malik Azam Hayat Noon, executive committee members, senior members, and Secretary Maj (R) Amjad Ghafoor, reflecting the event’s prominence in the domestic polo calendar.
In a high-intensity encounter, FG Polo delivered a commanding all-round performance to outclass BN Polo and book their place in Sunday’s main final. The winning side displayed superior coordination, tactical discipline, and attacking precision throughout the match.
Raul Laplacette led the charge for FG Polo with an impressive three-goal haul, while Marcos Rivarola, Raja Temur Nadeem, and Ameen Rehman contributed two goals each, ensuring their team maintain a decisive edge. Their consistent scoring and effective defensive structure limited BN Polo’s ability to mount a comeback. On the opposing side, Titu Ruiz Guinazu fought valiantly, scoring three goals for BN Polo. Adnan Jalil Azam and Saqib Khan Khakwani added one goal apiece, but their efforts proved insufficient against FG Polo’s cohesive and clinical performance.
