The 14th Lahore Open Polo Championship 2025 for the Patrons Cup, organized under the auspices of the Lahore Polo Club, witnessed thrilling action on its sixth day as three important matches were played. Following these encounters, Diamond Paints and Master Paints Black successfully secured their places in the semifinals of the prestigious tournament.
Exciting polo matches continue at the Lahore Polo Club, attracting a large gathering of sponsors, officials, and polo enthusiasts. Prominent attendees included Patrons sponsor Babar Naseem, AOS Director Hamza Ali Hakim, Master Paints Director Farooq Amin Sufi, Guard Group Director Taimur Ali Malik, The Retro Bar CEO Nafees Barry, Lahore Polo Club President Malik Azam Hayat Noon, members of the Executive Committee, and Club Secretary Major Amjad Ghafoor.
In the first match of the day, Master Paints Black clinched their third victory of the tournament on sudden death, defeating FG/Din 6-5 in extra time during the fifth chukker. For Master Paints Black, Ignacia Javier Bello scored three goals, Muhammad Ali Malik netted two, and Syed Turab Muhammad Rizvi added one goal. From FG/Din, Juan Cruz Greguoli scored two goals, while Sheikh Muhammad Raffay, Malik Ali Kuli Khan, and Agha Musa Ali Khan contributed one goal each.
The second match saw Diamond Paints edge past Rijas/Sheikhoo by a narrow 6-5 margin. Mir Shoaib Ahmed led the scoring with three goals for Diamond Paints, followed by Mir Huzaifa Ahmed with two goals and Raja Jalal Arsalan with one. For Rijas/Sheikhoo, Mumtaz Abbas Niazi and Mohib Faisal Shahzad scored two goals each, while Raja Samiullah added one goal.
In the third and final match of the day, BN Polo dominated Master Paints, securing an emphatic 9-5 victory. Hamza Mawaz Khan delivered an outstanding performance by scoring eight goals, while Ibrahim Khalil added one goal for BN Polo. For Master Paints, Ahmed Ali Tawana and Col Omar Minhas (retd) scored two goals each, and Farooq Amin Sufi contributed one goal.
According to the tournament schedule, the final two league matches of the championship will be played today (Wednesday), which will further clarify the remaining standings ahead of the knockout stage.
