LAHORE :Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority , DPS, IPC and Jazz qualified for the semifinals of Corporate Challenge Cup.
In the first match played at Ittefaq Cricket Ground, DPS defeated UB Lucrative by 7 wickets. Playing first, UB Lucrative scored 164 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated overs. Faraz Hassan played an unbeaten innings of 96 runs while Muhammad Jawad took two wickets. The DPS team achieved the target at a loss of 3 wickets. Imtiaz Anwar played a brilliant innings of 77 runs while Faheem Butt and Zohaib Shahid took one wicket each. Imtiaz Anwar was awarded man of the match for his outstanding performance.
In the second match, Jazz defeated UB Lucrative by 13 runs. Playing first, the Jazz team scored 214 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Ali Tayyab was dismissed for 83 while Ijaz Baloch played an unbeaten innings of 75 runs and Rehmat Sharif, Zohaib Shahid took one wicket. In pursuit of the target, UB Lucrative scored 201 runs. Usman Waheed played a brilliant innings of 122 runs while Nadir Hamdani took one wicket. Ali Tayyab was awarded the best player of the match for his outstanding performance.
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority defeated AMT by 10 wickets in a match played at Race Course Cricket Ground. Playing first, AMT scored 197 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ali Butt played a brilliant innings of 96 runs while Abdul Manan took two wickets. Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority team achieved the target without any loss. Ihsanullah scored 112 while Mubashir Ali played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 68 runs. Ihsanullah was awarded the best player of the match for scoring a century.
In the second match, IPC defeated AB by 26 runs. Playing first, IPC scored 170 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated overs. Muhammad Nadeem played a brilliant innings of 75 runs while Haris Siddique took 3 wickets. In pursuit of the target, the AB team managed to score 144 runs. Mawaz Tamiya played an unbeaten innings of 85 runs while Mohammad Zahid bowled three wickets. Mohammad Nadeem was declared the best player of the match for his excellent batting.
