Pakistan U-15 futsal team will participate in the World Under-15 Futsal Cupto be played in Paraguay next week.
Country Head of Bahria Town, Shahid Mehmood Qureshi, said: “The World Under-15 Futsal Cup will start next week in Paraguay. Twelve countries will take part in the event including Brasil, Cataluna, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Argentina, Bolivia, Pakistan, Paraguay, Urugauy, Ecuador and the US.
He further said: “There is no shortage of sports talent in the country and Bahria Town is promoting sports in the country to protect the young generation from social evils and sponsoring this national team, which is featuring in the World Cup for the first time.”
Shahid Mehmood Qureshi said: “Apart from the government, the private sector and philanthropists should also come forward and play their role for the development of sports in Pakistan. Without the support of government and generous corporate giants, it is not possible to promote Pakistan sports and achieve international laurels.
“There is a dire need to provide international standard facilities and maximum international exposure to Pakistani players as it is the only viable solution to Pakistan sports woes and will help it start winning medals and glories at international level,” he added.
