Lahore: Professor Mukhtar Ahmed Butt Memorial Corporate League started, Auditor General of Pakistan and Zameen.com won round matches on the first day.
According to details, the tenth edition of Professor Mukhtar Ahmed Butt Memorial Corporate League has started at Ittefaq Cricket Ground and Race Course Cricket Ground. On the occasion, Chief Organizer Faheem Mukhtar Butt said that this tournament is held every year to pay tribute to the services of his father Prof. Mukhtar Ahmed Butt. He also said that Prof Mukhtar Ahmed Butt has done a lot for the development of sports in Government College for a long time.
In a match played at Ittefaq Cricket Ground, Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) defeated Jaffer Brothers by 5 wickets. Playing first, Jaffer Brothers scored 125 runs. Noman Ali scored 21 runs while Imran Virk took two wickets. AGP achieved the target at a loss of 5 wickets. Mohsin Qureshi stood out with 25 runs while Abdullah Shaukat, Zia-ul-Haq, Irfan Shaukat and Hasnain Riaz took one wicket each. Muhammad Umar was awarded Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Zameen.com played two matches at the Race Course Cricket Ground. In the first match, Zameen.com defeated Netsol by 21 runs. Playing first, Zameen.com scored 162 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated overs. Zohaib Nabi scored 38 runs while Muhammad Faisal took three wickets. Qaiser Nawaz, Waqar Bukhari and Arsalan Pervez took two wickets each. In pursuit of the target, the AMT team was bowled out for 115 runs. Saad Najam played an unbeaten innings of 45 runs while Abdul Majid and Muhammad Faisal took three wickets. Abdul Majid was declared the best bowler of the match.
