PSL to host second roadshow in New York

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will stage its second landmark show in New York after the star-studded event at The Lord’s in London, sources told Geo Super on Thursday.
According to the insiders, the event in New York could be held by the end of next week and may be attended by the Test and T20I captains of the national men’s team, Shan Masood and Salman Ali Agha, respectively, alongside renowned national cricketer Saud Shakeel.The event will follow PSL’s exclusive roadshow at The Home of Cricket, scheduled to be held on December 7, and is expected to attract a diverse audience of business leaders, potential franchise owners and cricket supporters eager to engage with one of the sport’s most dynamic and fast-growing leagues.
The initiative underscores the league’s commitment to global expansion, strategic partnerships and delivering world-class entertainment and cricketing excellence.
The event in London will be graced by the country’s famed cricketing figures, including star batter Babar Azam and legendary pacer Wasim Akram, while renowned artist Ali Zafar is set to perform.
“London Roadshow brings cricket’s biggest names to the Home of Cricket. Join us for an exclusive evening with Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Sahibzada Farhan, Wasim Akram, Ramiz Raja & Ali Zafar,” the PSL wrote on its social media handles.It is pertinent to mention that the PSL, which began in 2016 with five franchises, is set to expand further with the addition of two new teams. The league had first expanded to five teams in 2018 with the inclusion of Multan Sultans.
With the upcoming additions, the PSL will undergo its first major restructuring in seven years, bringing the total number of franchises to eight.
