Media Brief of 11th Vice Admiral H.M.S. Chaudhry Amateur Golf Cup 2025 held at PN War College, Lahore. Commander Central Punjab of Pakistan Navy Rear Admiral Sohail Ahmad Azmie gave briefing to media. He told that this cup, scheduled from 20 to 23 November 2025 has now gained significant importance. All golfers are highly enthusiastic and committed to participating in this event. Participants in previous tournaments have demonstrated excellent performance, and this year, just like in the past, valuable prizes await the players.
I sincerely thank the management of Defence Raya Golf and Country Club for their full support in organizing and preparing for these events. I am confident that this tournament will provide participants with a highly suitable and satisfying experience. I am also pleased to acknowledge the hard work of our team in making this championship successful and extend my appreciation to players traveling from other cities to take part.
It is a well-known fact that the media has always presented the CNS Amateur Golf Cups positively, and I am hopeful that the media will continue to play its supportive role in the same spirit this year. I extend my best wishes to all participating golfers.
Registration for the 11th Vice Admiral H.M.S. Chaudhry Amateur Golf Cup is now open. There is great excitement among the country’s prominent golfers, who are eager to register early. The opening ceremony will be held on 20 November, and the closing ceremony on 23 November 2025.
The tournament includes three main categories for players
a. Amateurs: Players with a handicap of 10 or below. They will play 18 holes daily, completing a total of 54 holes over three days.
b. Ladies: Players with a handicap of 24 or below. Their competition will be over 18 holes.
c. Senior Amateurs: Players with a handicap of 12 or below. They will play 36 holes over two days.
It is noteworthy that previous winners of the CNS Amateur Golf championships, including Ahmad Baig and Ghazanfar Mahmood, have now entered the professional golf arena. Based on their past achievements, they are continuing their careers as professional golfers and hold prominent positions in the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) rankings.
The Pakistan Navy remains committed to the promotion of sports. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf has a deep passion for sports and has issued special directives for the successful conduct of this event while extending his best wishes to all participants.
It is widely recognized that the Pakistan Navy has always emphasized the development of sports, with golf receiving special attention. The consecutive championships held in Lahore since 2011 are a clear testimony to this commitment.
