The students of the University of Okara’s ( UO ) Department of Science Education presented creative and innovative models on environment, ecology and sustainable development in a two-day Science Models Exhibition .
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, the Department Chairperson, Dr Nasrin Akhtar, and the judges from the Faculty of Life Science visited the exhibition and appreciated the students for their state-of-the-art works. Talking to the students, the VC said that the UO administration always encouraged ingenious thinking and practical learning.
“We are empowering and facilitating the students to work on industry-oriented and cutting edge ideas so that they be able to bring change in the society”.Dr Nasrin told that she was working on inculcating originative and critical thinking among her students in a bid to prepare them to cope with the challenges of the modern world.
The exhibition ended with the prize distribution ceremony where the top-ranked stalls were awarded with certificates and shields.
