Lahore: DPS and IPC qualified for the Corporate Challenge Cricket Cup final after defeating their respective opponents in the semifinals played here at Ittefaq Cricket Ground. In the first semifinal, DPS outscored Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority by 89 runs. DPS scored 174-6 wickets with Ali Arham hitting 66 and Muhammad Siddique 44.
Abdul Manan clinched three wickets. In reply, CAA were bundled out for paltry 85 with only Mubashir Ali scoring 37. M Jawad grabbed five scalps for man of the match award. The second semifinal saw IPC outsmarting Jazz by 7 wickets. Jazz’ innings was folded at 109 with only Ali Tayyab scoring 37. Imran Abbas, M Zahid and Arslan Nasarullah took two wickets each. IPC chased the target losing three wickets with Arslan Nasarullah hammering unbeaten 54 and winning player of the match award.
