Lahore : Haseeb ur Rehman of Islamabad Golf Club emerged as winners in the 3rd PGF Jinnah Development Golf Tour Match 2021, which was contested over three rounds at the Royal Palm Golf Course.
Haseeb earned a trophy as well as a cash prize of Rs 221,000. He earned this esteemed standing through consistent golf play over three rounds, that fetched him a score of gross 72 in the first round, gross 71 in the second round and another round of gross 72 on the final day. His aggregate score for the three days competition was 215, one under par. Other prominent ones were Aadil Jehangir (Lahore Gymkhana) with an aggregate score of 217, two over par while Zohaib Asif (DHA Karachi) attained third position. Aadil and Zohaib were bracketed at the same score, but Aadil was declared second as he had a better score over the last two rounds. However, earnings wise they got cash prize of Rs 118,000 each.
More adept ones of this championship turned out to be M Imran of Defence Raya (fourth position), M Azam of Quetta (fifth position) and Zahir Shah of Peshawar (sixth position). They managed to exhibit abundant golfing ability and recognized as professional golfers with acumen. Two more, who did well, were M Khalid of DHA and Latif Rafiq of Gymkhana. At the conclusion of the event, the winners were honored by Justice Abid Aziz in the presence of officials of the PGF and participating golfers.
